I still remember Edna's Wedding Day as though it were yesterday - what a beautiful couple they made - Edna looking so elegant and beautiful and Vernon looking dashing and handsome in his RAF uniform - it was not just Vernon who fell in love with her but the whole family. My memory of Edna is that she was always bright, vibrant and full of life with a sense of humour and a ready wit. She was chosen by my brother Vernon and went on to be an exemplary mother to my nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed but, I am very sure, never forgotten.
